Sean genuinely cares about his students and was committed to helping me succeed! I’m genuinely grateful for the role he played in helping me reach this important milestone!
Excellent company with people that care and deliver results. I was fortunate enough to work with Sean and Alex who helped me prep for my last medical school board exam. I was able to pass the exam thanks to them and match into my #1 program for residency. It would not have been possible without their help.
Just gonna give my flowers to Sean. I was straight up LOST in the middle of my journey to taking Step 1. He helped me make a plan, pass on my first attempt, got me then through all my clinical rotations to pass my Shelf exams on the first try, got me a good Step 2 score, coached me on my Interview season (where I got a good amount of interviews bc of my scores) and just matched into Residency. Literally one of the smartest people I know. When he’s been busy, he has other people who are extremely smart and helpful too. Some of the smartest people I know!
Thankful for everything they have done for me and literally getting me to this point. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be at this point without him. They are people I know I can contact whenever I need advice
Sean and Sahith are prime boards tutors. They really helped me work through the logic of the questions and prioritize my thinking which has helped both with boards and in rotations! Special shputout to Sahith who put in a lot of time helping me through these things. Highly recommend them to anyone who is wanting to sure up their scores to crush exam day!
I don’t even know where to begin! Sean and Alex are by far the best tutors I’ve ever worked with. I found them at a time when I desperately needed help with COMLEX Level 2. It was a “make or break” moment, and after being hesitant for a while, I decided to seek tutoring because, as someone who's generally shy about asking for help, I knew I couldn’t do it on my own. I can say with complete certainty that I wouldn’t have overcome my hurdles without them.
I felt incredibly comfortable working with both of them. They make an excellent team. They communicate regularly about your progress, so by the time a session starts, they’re both up to date with everything about you. Their communication with me was consistent and effective, and I never felt ignored or dismissed. They’re always checking in to make sure you’re doing well, keeping up with you every step of the way.
What stood out most was how they tailored their approach to my individual needs. They took the time to figure out what wasn’t working for me when I couldn’t pinpoint the issue myself. During sessions, they are fully present and focused, making every moment feel valuable. Their support pushed me to give my best, and their teaching strategies were unlike anything I had learned in the years of studying before. I finished each session feeling like I had learned something new and that I would be able to use it in the future.
They teach in a way that helps you retain the material, making the learning process feel very personalized. As time passed, I could see clear improvements in my understanding and confidence. I truly recommend reaching out to them if you need assistance. I learned more than I ever expected, and I’m already looking forward to future sessions with them. For anyone hesitant, don’t be!
When I first began preparing for my COMLEX Level 2 retake, I was overwhelmed, defeated, and unsure of how to move forward. After failing my initial attempt with a 361, I knew I needed a different approach. Unfortunately, I didn't know where to start and had lost confidence in my ability to objectively assess my learning and progress.
Finding Sean and Sahith through Wyzant was the turning point that changed everything.
Together, they helped me rebuild from the ground up. They didn’t just reteach medical content - they restructured the way I studied and the way I thought about the exam. From Anki scheduling to question dissection, from managing cognitive fatigue to mastering weak systems like cardiology, hematology, immunology, and renal - they taught me how to study with purpose and test with confidence.
What made their tutoring so effective was the consistency, structure, and accountability they provided. We met 1–2 times per week for 60 to 90 minutes, and every session felt productive and forward-moving. Between sessions, they were still checking in and available to answer questions, offer reassurance, or give a push when I needed it. Every meeting began with a review of my Anki logs and question bank progress, keeping me grounded in daily discipline.
They also taught me specific strategies for approaching questions - especially those where I felt completely lost. These techniques saved time and mental energy on test day, especially when fatigue set in during the final blocks. Their guidance helped me preserve both accuracy and pacing. Just as importantly, they helped me maintain morale during long study days, reminding me of progress when all I could see were gaps.
Their teaching styles complemented each other well: one often focusing on fine-tuning content gaps, while the other emphasized mental approach and test logic. They created a safe, non-judgmental learning environment where mistakes became stepping stones. I trusted that what I got wrong with them would become what I got right on test day.
The results speak for themselves:
Initial baseline score: 361
After 5 weeks of tutoring: 470
After 7 weeks of tutoring: 510
Official COMLEX Level 2 score after 9 weeks of tutoring: 563
Working with Sean and Sahith was the best academic decision I’ve made in medical school. I owe them more than just a passing score - I owe them a sense of confidence and competence I hadn’t felt in a long time. If you're lost, struggling, or just need expert structure, these are the tutors you need.
Sean was a life saver for me. Within one conversation with him, my score managed to jump up 7 points on my practice step 1 exam (CBSSA). He is also an awesome guy who really cares about his students. He makes it feel like you are studying with your friends. He is very in tune with what is going on on the current exams and tries his absolute best to squeeze you into his calendar whenever you need a session. I cannot recommend him enough. He took me from feeling miserable studying for step one and scoring high 50s and feeling like I was never going to pass, to scoring high 60s and passing my real exam within 2 weeks!
Great tutoring experience overall!
Sean is an amazing and extremely knowledgeable tutor who knows the ins and outs of USMLE exams and has experience writing questions for them. His expertise in teaching and also as a practicing physician make him an extremely useful resource for any USMLE related question, and it seems like he just knows it all like the back of his hand. He is extremely personable and accessible at any hour of any day and is happy to answer any questions over text even outside of our sessions. He quizzes you a lot but at the same time doesn’t make you feel bad for getting an answer wrong or not knowing something. We developed a personalized study schedule around my time, developed a test taking strategy that allowed me to tackle long and arduous questions to break them down, and covered content that I really needed help with in UWorld and NBME exams. I really felt like I was getting a personalized tutor who was dedicated to my study style and who understood my knowledge base and worked with me to fill my content gaps.
I also worked with another tutor, Alex, who was just as amazing as Sean. I felt as though they both complemented each other well in that Alex’s expertise was more on the biostatistics side and Sean’s expertise was more on the pathology/clinical side. Alex, like Sean, was accessible at any time and on any day, and was just as knowledgeable. I can say for certain that Alex’s teaching of certain concepts in biostatistics helped me on 3 questions on my actual exam (it really shows up more than you think)! Her approach to test taking is similar to Sean’s and again she listened to what was working for me and what wasn’t working and tailored a study plan and strategy that would uniquely help me. She has an immense amount of patience and is a great teacher.
I couldn’t recommend these guys enough; you get access to 2 tutors who are friendly, knowledgeable, and extremely accessible. It was amazing to get to know them and I can personally guarantee they will be a huge help to anyone studying for their board exams.
I recently had the pleasure of working with The Boards Professor tutoring services to study for my USMLE Step 2CK exam and I can confidently say that it was one of the best decisions. From the initial consultation to the last session, the entire process was flexible, professional, and extremely effective.
The tutors are not only highly knowledgeable but also incredibly patient and supportive. Sean and Sahith took the time to assess my learning style and adjusted each session to suit my needs. I was particularly impressed with how they pinpointed my strengths and weaknesses, simplifying complex concepts into manageable steps to make sure I fully understood the material before moving forward.
Sean is incredibly passionate about teaching and goes above and beyond to help his students. From our very first conversation, it was clear that he genuinely cares about his students' success and is dedicated to helping them reach their goals. He consistently checked in with me to review my progress, always making sure that I was on track. What really stood out was how he challenged me to trust my instincts and believe in myself. This encouragement made a huge difference in my confidence, and I’m so grateful for the way he pushed me to reach my full potential.
Sahith was extremely patient, reassuring and calm throughout our sessions. No matter how many times I needed to go over the same topic, he never hesitated to revisit it until I fully understood the material. What I appreciated most was how Sahith helped me trust my own knowledge. He encouraged me to believe in my abilities and taught me techniques for staying calm and focused during test prep. This mindset shift was a game-changer during practice exams and ultimately helped me approach the real test with a clearer, more confident mindset.
Whether I needed support with mastering USMLE Step 2CK concepts, calming my nerves, or prepping for residency interviews, the tutors were always available whenever I needed them. Thanks to their guidance, I saw a significant improvement in my practice exams and gained much more confidence in my academic abilities. I highly recommend The Boards Professor to anyone looking for personalized and high-quality tutoring for the USMLE exams!
I had the pleasure of working with Sean and Sahith while preparing for my Level 2 exam, and I couldn't have asked for better tutors. They were incredibly helpful, tailoring the study sessions to my specific needs and ensuring I fully understood the material. Their responsiveness was top-notch, as they always got back to me as soon as they could, making me feel supported throughout the entire process.
As my exam approached, I was a nervous wreck, but Sean and Sahith helped me stay calm and reassured me every step of the way. Near the end of my studying, burnout started to hit hard, but they kept me motivated and were patient with me, which made all the difference.
I would absolutely recommend them to anyone struggling to create a study plan or in need of a content boost. Their guidance and encouragement made a stressful process so much more manageable, and I’m beyond grateful for their support!
Sean helped me so much to pass my exam. He is flexible with scheduling and always within reach for any questions. He teaches you a solid method approaching questions and is extremely knowledgeable. The ultimate sensei. It was a pleasure working together.
I had the opportunity to work with both Sean and Alex! Sean has helped me for both Level 1 and also Step 2/Level 2! He not only helped me with content and test taking strategies but was also very motivating and helped maintain my stress through both of these challenging times. I have recommended both to many of my friends and will continue! Both helped me reach my goal scores for both board exams and I matched into my #1 residency program and could not be happier!

I met with Sean for a month and I'm so so so grateful for him. I was really struggling with STEP 1 and was 2 weeks out. Sean quickly helped me realize the gaps in my knowledge, and in one breath helped me fill them. He built a sustainable study schedule for me, kept me accountable, and helped me improve my test-taking strategies.
He's down to earth, hilarious, and really boosted my confidence (along with Nicki Minaj's entire discography, of course). Just got my pass last week! Couldn't have done it without him and I cannot emphasize enough how amazing he is at teaching! Thanks Sean 🙂
Sean is amazing. He showed me a systematic way of analyzing and answering multiple choice questions. He was friendly and approachable. Easy to learn from and I felt comfortable asking any questions I had. He went above and beyond the role of a standardized test tutor by making sure I was supported not only with maintaining my knowledge for the exam but ensuring that I was mentally prepared. He checked up on me frequently leading up to the exam. I know that I will take the skills I have learned from him with me throughout residency.
Amazing!
My biggest problem was test-taking anxiety and he taught me strategies to completely eliminate that. My score instantly improved. He is very patient and understanding as well

Amazing first session!
Sean went above and beyond my expectations! He explained the material beautifully. He knew his material inside-out, and he helped me categorize and organize the information in a simple and easy way. I am very much looking forward to my future tutoring sessions with him. Highly recommend!
Sean is truly THE go-to person if you’re preparing for boards. He goes above and beyond in every possible way—providing guidance, reassurance, and practical strategies throughout the entire process. You never feel alone when working with him; he is consistently supportive and even makes himself available on test day, which speaks volumes about how much he genuinely cares about your success and well-being.
He took me on just three weeks before my exam, during a particularly difficult time when I was trying to balance major personal life milestones alongside a demanding work schedule and studying for boards. In those three weeks, my studying became far more streamlined and efficient, and my confidence grew significantly. He is exceptional at steering you toward the most high-yield resources and question banks while teaching practical, effective test-taking strategies that truly work. I genuinely would not have been able to do this without his help.
If you are ever in doubt about getting a tutor and want someone who truly cares about your well-being and your goal to pass, don’t miss the opportunity to work with Sean. He is simply the best. I am so grateful I found him while prepping for my boards.
Knowledgable and more than just a tutor
When I first started working with Sean, I was 6 weeks out from Step 1 and pretty unsure if I was on track to passing. From the very first meeting with Sean, I felt right away that he had a well-honed philosophy for test preparation and was ready to help me develop a plan to get ready. Literally the first time we spoke, my confidence began to grow because he not only had a well-thought out approach to helping me prepare but he also understood the health challenges I was dealing with and genuinely cared about how he could best help me navigate those in preparing for Step 1. Every time I worked with Sean, he not only was teaching me great test-taking skills and doing helpful content review for problem areas, but he was building up my confidence that I could not only pass the exam, but do well on it. Sean makes you feel like you've got a great partner behind you the whole time and I saw fairly quickly great improvements in my practice exam scores. By the time I took the exam, I felt so much more confident in my abilities and even when I had last minute test-anxiety, Sean was there to reassure me that the work we had done would pay off and in the end, he was exactly right and I scored well on Step 1. To give you some insight into how crucial some of the test-taking lessons Sean taught me, some of the strategies I remembered during a critical part of my exam when I was mentally worn out. I literally could hear Sean's advice in my head, and I am convinced this was just one example of how the test-taking skills he taught me were a key part of my success on test day. Bottom line is, if you're struggling with test preparation, just want additional support, or need a lot of help with any subject area, I am telling you, run and don't walk to sign up to work with Sean, you will not regret it.
My step 2 score went from a 199 to a 248 in 5 weeks with Sean and Alex’s help. Their approach to NBME style questions helped me reverse some detrimental testing habits and optimize my fund of knowledge. They are experts at STEP 2 and got me through it after I had a difficult time passing shelf exams this year.
Amazing Tutor!
Sean is an amazing tutor! I would recommend him to any student struggling with board prep (especially if you do not have much time left). I made more progress with him in just 2 months then I made by myself in an entire year. He will give you a study schedule that really works! He is very knowledgeable on what resources to use and how to use them based off real research and stats. He is a great teacher and even made himself available to answer questions I had outside of our sessions. I was impressed with how easy he made topics that I previously struggled with mastering. I would give him 10/10 stars and plan on hiring him again for future tests!
Great tutor
Sean really helped me with test taking strategies to minimize the amount of mistakes I make as well as a new way to approach questions which I found to be really beneficial. Sean was very patient and knowledgeable about a wide variety of topics and took great care in explaining any topics that I was unsure of and made a few topics make sense to me for the first time!
Sean is amazing! He helped me prepare for my ABIM exam focusing on process and approach. We all know the information. Taking the test is a game, and Sean helped me figure out how to play it! He is also just a great guy providing the resources and support that allowed me to build the confidence I needed to pass!
I worked with Alex and Sean during my COMLEX Level 1 retake. At that point, I had already retaken the exam twice without success and was preparing for my last allowed attempt. Working with them completely changed my life.
I always knew I was missing something while studying. It wasn't necessarily the content. I was never a strong test taker, and they helped me figure out the skills and strategies that I was lacking. They're both incredibly knowledgeable and excellent teachers. They also have a deep understanding of the actual board exam, what concepts tend to be tested, and how questions are written.
While all of those things were incredibly valuable, what stood out most to me was their empathy and how much they genuinely care about their students. I was an emotional mess during that period of my life. Failing multiple times had completely destroyed my confidence, and I was carrying a lot of fear going into my final attempt. They were always patient, encouraging, and supportive. They helped me rebuild confidence in myself and my abilities at a time when I really needed it.
After passing COMLEX Level 1, I continued working with Alex throughout my clinical rotations. We still meet several times a month to prepare for COMAT exams and continue strengthening my test-taking skills. She has an amazing ability to take complex concepts and make them easy to understand. More importantly, she has taught me how to approach questions strategically and navigate difficult exams regardless of the subject matter.
Alex genuinely cares about her students, and it shows in every session. She has played a huge role in my success over the past year, and I can honestly say I would not be where I am today without her help. She's an amazing tutor, and I have no doubt she's going to make an amazing physician.
I can’t begin to explain how talented Sean and his team was. Due to some road bumps, I was severely behind studying for my ABIM. My brother was studying for his Step 1 exam at the same time. I was trying my best to make time to help him, but I realized my exam date was getting closer and closer without feeling prepared myself. I chose to look for guidance and a tutor for both my brother and I. From the first session, I knew I had made the right choice. Always making time for us, encouraging us, and somehow made studying enjoyable which made all the difference. Both my brother and I went from fear of being behind to celebrating passing our respective pass rates. We are so beyond grateful for his help and couldn’t recommend him less. He was worth every penny and more.
Passionate and knowledgeable
Sean was enthusiastic about my success and is very passionate about teaching. He helped create a study schedule for me as well as set me up with a personalized Anki deck. We also went through questions together and dissected them to learn how to review them. I recommend him as a tutor to other people who want to succeed on their exams!
Sean was a life saver for me. Within one conversation with him, my score managed to jump up 7 points on my practice step 1 exam (CBSSA). He is also an awesome guy who really cares about his students. He took me from feeling miserable studying for step one and scoring high 50s and feeling like I was never going to pass, to scoring high 60s and passing my real exam within 2 weeks!
Excellent Investment
This is my 5th session with Sean. He is an excellent and very very knowledgeable tutor who patiently explains the information. He continues to present the information in a manner that I can understand and in a way that it 'sticks.' He is soo good. The test taking strategies that he throws in there are really helping me toward my goals. I look forward to more sessions and to achieving my goals with Sean's help. If I could give him 10 stars I would!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Incredible tutor and incredible person!
I worked with Sean while preparing for COMLEX Level 1, and I truly don’t think I could have done it without him. He built personalized study schedules, helped me prioritize high-yield content, and strengthened my overall test-taking strategy.
Even in the relatively short period working together, I felt my test taking ability and confidence skyrocket. His dedication and passion for teaching are priceless and make his services worth every dollar. I cannot vouch for him enough and will surely be very excited to work with him again as I prep for future exams.
Sean and Sahith were instrumental in helping me turn things around after my Step 1 fail. I had just one month to prepare for my retake, and with their guidance, I passed. They quickly identified my weak areas, helped me improve them efficiently, and gave me practical exam strategies that made a real difference. Beyond that, their accountability, support, and encouragement kept me focused and confident throughout the process. I tell everyone studying for a medical board exam about The Boards Professor & will be using them for Step 2!
I can’t thank Board Professors, especially Sean and Sahith, enough for everything they did to help me finally pass Step 1. After struggling through multiple attempts, I came into this last one carrying so much weight, anxiety, and self-doubt. But from the very beginning, they made me feel confident, composed, and fully supported.
What truly set them apart was their personal investment in my success. Sean and Sahith took the time to work with me one-on-one, breaking down challenging concepts, teaching me high-yield strategies, and helping me build the mindset I needed to perform on exam day. They checked in on me throughout the week without me even having to ask, making sure I stayed on track and felt prepared. I was also able to send them questions anytime, and they always responded thoughtfully and quickly.
Walking into my final attempt, I finally felt prepared, calm, and in control—and I owe that entirely to their guidance, dedication, and encouragement. Passing Step 1 has been such a huge milestone for me, and I wouldn’t be here without them.
If you’re struggling, uncertain, or just want the best preparation possible, Board Professors is the team you want in your corner. They don’t just teach you medicine; they believe in you until you believe in
Knowledgeable and great tutor Step 3
Great tutoring session for reviewing concepts and testing skills. Helps you day by day and schedules a study plan. Every tutoring session we cover my weak areas or review some important concepts to be able to attack questions efficiently. Happy to be working with Sean!
Great tutor and very organized
Sean is a great tutor! We went over USMLE /COMLEX resources and planned out studying over the next six months until my dedicated. We also did guided practice questions. Highly recommend!
My experience with Sean was great. I came to him with my concerns and what I needed in a short time frame and he was able to walk me through a plan and get me exactly to where I needed to be. I was worried that the short time frame would be an issue and overall had concerns about my ability but he was even more confident in me than I was from the start and that built my confidence throughout our sessions leading up to exam day which was huge for me. I just trusted the process and before I knew it things were going exactly how I needed them to. Ive never worked with a tutor before so I took a leap of faith and it was completely worth it and I highly recommend Sean to anyone else if they need help with their exam. I learned strategies and overall study structure that I will be able to apply to every subsequent exam after this and I am very grateful. Dont think too hard about your decision, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
