Sean is truly THE go-to person if you’re preparing for boards. He goes above and beyond in every possible way—providing guidance, reassurance, and practical strategies throughout the entire process. You never feel alone when working with him; he is consistently supportive and even makes himself available on test day, which speaks volumes about how much he genuinely cares about your success and well-being.
He took me on just three weeks before my exam, during a particularly difficult time when I was trying to balance major personal life milestones alongside a demanding work schedule and studying for boards. In those three weeks, my studying became far more streamlined and efficient, and my confidence grew significantly. He is exceptional at steering you toward the most high-yield resources and question banks while teaching practical, effective test-taking strategies that truly work. I genuinely would not have been able to do this without his help.
If you are ever in doubt about getting a tutor and want someone who truly cares about your well-being and your goal to pass, don’t miss the opportunity to work with Sean. He is simply the best. I am so grateful I found him while prepping for my boards.
Sean and Alex are the best tutors I have ever worked with. Not only did they help me come up with a study method that actually worked for me after multiple failed attempts at Level 1, but they made themselves accessible every day for any questions I had or any life difficulties that got in the way of studying. They were confident in me when I couldn’t build that confidence in myself, and ultimately I am able to continue on my journey to becoming a physician because of them. Out of all the tutoring platforms/bootcamp programs I tried in the past, Sean and Alex blow everyone else out of the water. Absolutely worth every penny!
My experience with Sean was great. I came to him with my concerns and what I needed in a short time frame and he was able to walk me through a plan and get me exactly to where I needed to be. I was worried that the short time frame would be an issue and overall had concerns about my ability but he was even more confident in me than I was from the start and that built my confidence throughout our sessions leading up to exam day which was huge for me. I just trusted the process and before I knew it things were going exactly how I needed them to. Ive never worked with a tutor before so I took a leap of faith and it was completely worth it and I highly recommend Sean to anyone else if they need help with their exam. I learned strategies and overall study structure that I will be able to apply to every subsequent exam after this and I am very grateful. Dont think too hard about your decision, I would do it again in a heartbeat.
Incredible tutor and incredible person!
I worked with Sean while preparing for COMLEX Level 1, and I truly don’t think I could have done it without him. He built personalized study schedules, helped me prioritize high-yield content, and strengthened my overall test-taking strategy.
Even in the relatively short period working together, I felt my test taking ability and confidence skyrocket. His dedication and passion for teaching are priceless and make his services worth every dollar. I cannot vouch for him enough and will surely be very excited to work with him again as I prep for future exams.
Sean was truly instrumental in my success on Step 1, and I cannot recommend him highly enough! From the very beginning, our sessions were organized, efficient, and tailored specifically to my weaknesses. His depth of knowledge is unmatched, definitely the most impressive I have ever seen, and he has an incredible ability to break down complex concepts into clear, testable strategies that I was able to use to get to the correct answer on questions I didn't even realize I knew.
What truly sets Sean apart was his support and strategies. He didn’t just teach content; he taught me how to think on exam day. The testing strategies and mindset shifts he gave me took my practice exam scores from the low 50s into the 70s and 80s, and after about two months of working together, I passed Step 1!
As someone who struggles significantly with test anxiety, Sean’s pep talks and constant encouragement were just as important as the academic support. He went above and beyond by making himself available on test day for last-minute questions and reassurance throughout the entire exam, which made an enormous difference in my confidence and performance.
I am already planning to work with Sean again for Step 2. If you are looking for a tutor who is not only exceptionally knowledgeable, but also deeply invested in your success and well-being, Sean is 1000% your guy!
Sean is amazing! I only worked with him for about 3-4 weeks and my score significantly improved. He does a really good job of teaching you how to approach and breakdown questions and is super accessible. Will be using him again
I truly couldn’t have passed Step without Sean and Sahith’s support. They gave me practical techniques and a clear way to approach questions that completely changed how I think about exams, and it’s something I’ll keep using going forward.
They also helped me focus my energy on the most important information instead of getting lost in everything else. Just as important, they were a real support system for me through the whole prep process.
I can’t say enough good things about working with them, it was honestly a game changer for me!
I had a really great experience with The Boards Professor and honestly can’t recommend the team enough! Sean is incredibly available and truly invested in your success. He takes the time to understand your specific strengths, weaknesses, and schedule, and then helps you build a testing strategy that actually fits you instead of giving a generic plan. It never feels rushed — he really works with you and makes himself accessible whenever you need direction or reassurance.
Sahith was amazing for reinforcing concepts in a visual and practical way! He's great at turning complicated material into diagrams and mental frameworks that actually stick. He also helped me a lot with managing testing anxiety and learning how to slow down and approach questions more calmly and methodically, which made a huge difference for me.
Alex’s biostatistics teaching style really stood out! She breaks down Biostats in a way you’ve probably never been taught before — but honestly should have been. Instead of just throwing formulas at you to memorize, she focuses on making sure you truly understand what you’re doing and why. That approach made it so much easier to apply concepts to new questions instead of freezing or second-guessing myself.
Overall, the program feels very personalized and supportive 🙂 You’re not just another student - the instructors genuinely care about your progress, your confidence, and helping you reach your goals! Leading up to my exam, it felt like I had a team in my corner the whole time 🙂
I took Comlex Lvl3 three times and failed. I was a PGY-2 and was unable to secure a contract for my 3rd year as a resident. To make things worse, I had a 3 year gap between medical school and securing a residency. To put things into perspective, my last completed board exam was back in 2019, pre-COVID, making it a 5 year test taking gap between the 2 exams. Sean was recommended to me by a fellow resident at my hospital, where he found a lot of success with him. I was hoping he could fix some of the issues that I had. We had 2 months to prep for Lvl 3 for my 4th time. We had one session per week. We had more sessions as the test date closed in.
I was quite weak in statistics so I had to confer with Alex as well, which was completely worth it. It was a quick 2 hour sessions that covered the majority of stats questions.
Through Sean, I was able to found out that my problem wasn’t really test taking anxiety or knowledge gaps(been studying for this exam for almost a year), I was missing a systemic approach to answering these questions and ultimately conquering the exam. Sean was able to rectify the issues and help me build the confidence to ultimately pass the exam.
My advice to other people who would inquire his services: you should texting him 24/7 about anything and everything.

Sean was great! If you really follow his process and stick to it your confidence will build overtime and he will get you to where you need to be. He is very knowledgeable and applies what you are learning clinically which helped a lot. He goes above and beyond as a tutor and you can tell he is very passionate and truly wants you to succeed. Very kind and quick to respond. I learned a lot in a short amount of time and would recommend him to any of my friends.
Kicking myself for not hiring Sean sooner!
Sean helped me prepare for COMLEX Level 3. I struggled with Level 1 and 2, had to retake both of them. My difficulties continued with Level 3 which I failed twice. After the second failure, I knew I had to drastically change my approach so I invested in private tutoring with Sean. He helped a coresident overcome a Level 3 failure and I took a chance. I met with Sean via Zoom and immediately felt reassured I made the right choice. Working with Sean, we immediately created a REALISTIC study schedule. He even provided resources that proved invaluable! Through our many sessions, I found Sean to be intelligent, understanding, experienced, motivated, and very professional yet laid back at the same time. We worked through question bank questions while on Zoom to analyze and critique my test taking skills which, along with Sean's frequent motivating/encouraging comments, drastically increased my confidence. Yes, Sean helped address knowledge gaps, but I honestly think my success more so resulted from his identifying and highlighting my strengths than identifying weaknesses. Sean was always available via text/email despite his own busy schedule. He stayed on top of me to monitor my progress without being overbearing in the slightest. At one point, I asked Sean why he does this. Why tutor when you have your own medical career progressing with your own stressors and time constraints? He replied honestly with an answer I ultimately found very true. He truly enjoys teaching and plans to make it a significant part of his career moving forward with hopes of pursuing medical teaching positions with ivy-league institutions. If you are on the fence or considering hiring a tutor AT ALL, please do yourself a favor and invest in your future by hiring a tutor like Sean. From my own experience, once you're on the other side with a passing score and ALL the stress is GONE, you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner. Good luck and remember, exam scores do NOT reflect your future potential!!
Sean helped me so much to pass my exam. He is flexible with scheduling and always within reach for any questions. He teaches you a solid method approaching questions and is extremely knowledgeable. The ultimate sensei. It was a pleasure working together.
Super helpful STEP 1 Tutor
Sean assessed my gaps in knowledge and test-taking strategy to help me form a plan going into my dedicated STEP 1 study period. I look forward to working with Sean more as he helps me drastically raise my STEP 1 score!

Great teacher!
Sean is super helpful! Very patient, responsive, and flexible. He takes the time to go through questions without making you feel dumb when you don’t know the answer or concepts.
Sean and Alex are seriously the best!!! I used them to study for my first set of boards after I realizing I felt extremely behind as I was also planning my wedding at the same time as dedicated. They took all the guesswork out of the standardized exam study process which in the past for me involved a lot of confusion around what resources and study strategy would actually be effective. They gave me a solid schedule that was super realistic and easy to follow and most importantly gave me their tailored advice and empowering approach. I know that had it not been for them, dedicated would have been 1000x more stressful, anxiety provoking and I certainly would not have felt as confident during the exam as a result of utilizing all the strategies they prepared me with which are now serving me well in prepping for my COMAT exams. Can’t say enough good things!
The best there is.
I write this review for those who are in a difficult place in their life and are struggling with their examinations. Personally, I was in a difficult place, with limited time, trying to obtain a passing score for Level 2. Sean, who is equipped to handle both Step and Level exams, simply changed my examination thought process and quite frankly, my life. He is was a major part of my success and I feel very lucky to have been guided by him. I encourage those who find Sean to reach out. He is ALWAYS there to help his students get through their test. He is VERY experienced with learning styles and will find what you consider difficult, teach you one-on-one, and ensure you understand the material. He will check in on you to make sure you're mentally doing okay. If you have anxiety or test taking skill deficiencies, he will guide you with those concerns too. The bottom line is: Sean is a kind, patient, and knowledgeable person, who loves what he does and wants to ensure that your needs are met so that success WILL come your way.
Knowledgable and more than just a tutor
When I first started working with Sean, I was 6 weeks out from Step 1 and pretty unsure if I was on track to passing. From the very first meeting with Sean, I felt right away that he had a well-honed philosophy for test preparation and was ready to help me develop a plan to get ready. Literally the first time we spoke, my confidence began to grow because he not only had a well-thought out approach to helping me prepare but he also understood the health challenges I was dealing with and genuinely cared about how he could best help me navigate those in preparing for Step 1. Every time I worked with Sean, he not only was teaching me great test-taking skills and doing helpful content review for problem areas, but he was building up my confidence that I could not only pass the exam, but do well on it. Sean makes you feel like you've got a great partner behind you the whole time and I saw fairly quickly great improvements in my practice exam scores. By the time I took the exam, I felt so much more confident in my abilities and even when I had last minute test-anxiety, Sean was there to reassure me that the work we had done would pay off and in the end, he was exactly right and I scored well on Step 1. To give you some insight into how crucial some of the test-taking lessons Sean taught me, some of the strategies I remembered during a critical part of my exam when I was mentally worn out. I literally could hear Sean's advice in my head, and I am convinced this was just one example of how the test-taking skills he taught me were a key part of my success on test day. Bottom line is, if you're struggling with test preparation, just want additional support, or need a lot of help with any subject area, I am telling you, run and don't walk to sign up to work with Sean, you will not regret it.
My step 2 score went from a 199 to a 248 in 5 weeks with Sean and Alex’s help. Their approach to NBME style questions helped me reverse some detrimental testing habits and optimize my fund of knowledge. They are experts at STEP 2 and got me through it after I had a difficult time passing shelf exams this year.
Amazing Tutor!
Sean is an amazing tutor! I would recommend him to any student struggling with board prep (especially if you do not have much time left). I made more progress with him in just 2 months then I made by myself in an entire year. He will give you a study schedule that really works! He is very knowledgeable on what resources to use and how to use them based off real research and stats. He is a great teacher and even made himself available to answer questions I had outside of our sessions. I was impressed with how easy he made topics that I previously struggled with mastering. I would give him 10/10 stars and plan on hiring him again for future tests!
Just gonna give my flowers to Sean. I was straight up LOST in the middle of my journey to taking Step 1. He helped me make a plan, pass on my first attempt, got me then through all my clinical rotations to pass my Shelf exams on the first try, got me a good Step 2 score, coached me on my Interview season (where I got a good amount of interviews bc of my scores) and just matched into Residency. Literally one of the smartest people I know. When he’s been busy, he has other people who are extremely smart and helpful too. Some of the smartest people I know!
Thankful for everything they have done for me and literally getting me to this point. I can honestly say I wouldn’t be at this point without him. They are people I know I can contact whenever I need advice
Great tutor
Sean really helped me with test taking strategies to minimize the amount of mistakes I make as well as a new way to approach questions which I found to be really beneficial. Sean was very patient and knowledgeable about a wide variety of topics and took great care in explaining any topics that I was unsure of and made a few topics make sense to me for the first time!
Sean is amazing! He helped me prepare for my ABIM exam focusing on process and approach. We all know the information. Taking the test is a game, and Sean helped me figure out how to play it! He is also just a great guy providing the resources and support that allowed me to build the confidence I needed to pass!
Step 1 Review
He was able to break down the material and clearly explain all the topics. It was great to be able to discuss the material with someone who is so knowledgeable and more importantly who has a knack for teaching others.
Sahith and Sean were both great! They helped me look at questions from a different perspective and use Anki properly.
When students are struggling it also helps to have an ally and both were very supportive and nonjudgmental. It helped me mentally to know I had support and I got the score I wanted today!
Knowledgeable and supportive tutor
What Sean helped me with the most was providing me with different techniques I could use to approach a question and find the answer even if I wasn't 100% confident. These tips helped give me more tools when approaching a question, and gave me more confidence. He was also helpful in coming up with a realistic and flexible schedule for my dedicated time before the USMLE and COMLEX. Definitely would recommend Sean as a tutor!
