These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website and services of Boards Professor LLC ("The Boards Professor", "we", "us"). By booking a session, purchasing a package, or otherwise using the services, you agree to these Terms; please read them before you book or pay.
Services
We provide educational tutoring and exam-preparation services. Services are for informational and educational purposes and do not guarantee any particular exam score or outcome.
Bookings & payments
Sessions are scheduled through Acuity Scheduling and payments are processed through Stripe. Fees and packages are as described at the time of purchase or in a separate agreement; cancellation and refund terms are set out below.
Cancellations, no-shows & refunds
Sessions may be cancelled or rescheduled free of charge with at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice are charged a late-cancellation fee of $149 (half of the $299 hourly session fee). Missed sessions without notice (no-shows) are charged the full session fee of $299. To cancel or reschedule, use your booking confirmation link or email [email protected]. Unused prepaid sessions are refundable — email us at the address above and we will arrange the refund. Any other refund request is considered on a case-by-case basis and answered individually.
Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, to use the services lawfully, and not to disrupt or misuse the website.
Intellectual property
Our original website content and tutoring materials are owned by Boards Professor LLC or its licensors and may not be reproduced or redistributed without permission. Reviews and other third-party content remain the property of their authors.
Disclaimers
The services are provided without any guarantee of a particular exam score or outcome, and we do not warrant that the services will meet your requirements. Nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Boards Professor LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the services.
Third-party services
The site uses third-party services, including Acuity Scheduling, Stripe, Web3Forms, Google, Meta, Cloudflare and Notion (the student Portal). Your use of those services is subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
Termination
We may suspend or terminate access to the services at our discretion, including for violation of these Terms. If we end paid services before they are delivered, any unused paid sessions will be handled as described under “Cancellations, no-shows & refunds” above.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts.
Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Updates apply from the date they are posted and do not change the terms that applied to sessions or packages you had already purchased; continued use of the services after an update constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
