The Boards Professor is led by Dr. Shauhin “Sean” Moazezi, DO, a board-certified internist who teaches full time. He trained at an osteopathic medical school and took the COMLEX himself. We cover COMLEX Level 1, Level 2-CE and Level 3, including osteopathic principles and practice, working from practice questions and your practice exam results, not just content review.

What COMLEX tutoring looks like

  • A customized study schedule around your timeline, your weak spots, and your life, and we hold you to it.
  • Your Anki deck rebuilt around evidence-based spaced repetition, with no thousand-cards-a-day grind.
  • A dedicated line to your tutor team 24/7 for a tough question, a next step or a pep talk.

Taking COMLEX and USMLE?

Many DO students take both. We build one study plan that covers both exams. See our USMLE Step 1, Step 2 CK and Step 3 tutoring pages.

About COMLEX-USA Level 2-CE

NBOME describes Level 2-CE as a one-day, computer-based assessment. It says passing Level 2-CE indicates you have demonstrated competence in the clinical sciences, and that scores are usually ready for review within two to six weeks of the exam (NBOME Level 2-CE page).

NBOME lists seven domains that Level 2-CE assesses:

  • Osteopathic principles and practice
  • Osteopathic patient care
  • Application of osteopathic medical knowledge
  • Practice-based learning and improvement
  • Communication skills
  • Professionalism and ethics
  • Systems-based practice

NBOME has also published enhancements to the COMLEX-USA exams for 2026 and 2027 (NBOME announcement), so confirm current details with NBOME before you schedule.

Who we tutor

  • DO students preparing for COMLEX Level 1, Level 2-CE or Level 3
  • Students who did not pass a Level and need a different approach
  • Students taking COMLEX and USMLE who want one plan for both

The team speaks French, Persian, Portuguese, Spanish and Telugu, which many international medical graduates find helpful. We work extensively with repeat test takers.

COMLEX-USA Level 1

NBOME says passing Level 1 indicates you have demonstrated competence in the foundational biomedical sciences and osteopathic principles and related physician competency domains for osteopathic medical care of patients, as required to enter supervised patient care settings and to continue lifelong learning. Level 1 reports a pass or fail rather than a numeric score, and candidates receive a Formative Performance Profile. NBOME says you will usually get an email that your score is available within two to six weeks of the end date of the testing window (NBOME Level 1 page).

COMLEX-USA Level 3

NBOME says passing Level 3 indicates you have demonstrated competence in the foundational competencies required for generalist physicians to deliver safe and effective osteopathic medical care, as required for entry into the unsupervised practice of osteopathic medicine. It describes Level 3 as a two-day, computer-based examination for osteopathic residents, and announced that Level 3 changes to a one-day examination effective January 13, 2027, with fewer test questions (NBOME Level 3 page).
